Last month I celebrated my birthday with a few moments of, "I'm getting OLD,"
panic.
Yesterday, I decided to smack that panic in the chops by wearing a dress that just might make me look 12.
Well, "12" if you ignore the WELL EARNED and much loved laugh lines around my face.
Striped Dress (2nd Hand); Black tights (Express)Ankle Strap Flats (Payless); Rose Earrings (F21)
Wanna know something? It totally worked. This dress actually helped to change my perspective. What do you think about that?Just another reason to put a big smile (and possibly a few more laugh lines) on my mug!Happy Friday, guys! Hope your weekend is chock full of lots of laugh-line-inducing events.

Me? 65, and darned lucky to have made it this far. Your best is yet to come. Old is an attitude, not an age. I like your attitude.

It's crazy how much the right outfit can change my mood. Love the dress!

that is an adorable dress and you look lovely in it
Laugh lines? Bah! Adorable. And don't worry -- every decade brings new style opportunities.
Very cute! Now you just need an ice cream cone and a baby doll. : )
That dress is so cute! You look adorable. Happy belated birthday!
Molly, you don't look a day over 12, lady! :) You look so pretty in that dress! The adjective seems simple and unimaginative but there's no better way to describe this look than "so pretty!" :)
I love that you can pull off that dress, and that you wanted to feel like you were 12. Those days are good!
Yay, for us being vacation twins as well. I'll try to leave you some fun there, but no promises ;)
Cute!
a) you are seriously the cutest thing ever. no joke.
b) this dress is so unique, and i just love how it looks on you. i don't think it makes you look young at all!
Oh my gosh! You look adorable!!!!!!!! Happy (late) birthday, Molly! Oh, and I think laugh lines are adorable too. :) The best kind of physical attribute, I think! ;)
Happy belated Birthday! My birthday is this month and I can't believe how old I'm turning! I think I might follow your lead and wear something a little youthful looking on the big day. Yes, you look very youthful in this outfit, but definitely not 12. I like the pattern mixing on this dress. And those ankle strap flats are adorable.
Want-that-dress. How amazing is the waistline on that?!? Love it!
Oh, this is such a pretty dress! The print on the waistband is such a fun way to break up those adorable stripes. And the baby blue accents? Too cute!
What a super charming dress lady! J'adore the stripes!
i love that clothes can just change an attitude (they are powerful). you look beautiful and definitely don't panic about a birthday..you look great!
You are so adorable! Love this dress and I love your happiness. We earn those laugh lines darn it! We should all flaunt it!

I adore this dress!!! You look adorable (and more like 14 than 12!). I'm freaking about my birthday in just over a month! I think it's the whole "getting older, still feeling like a kid" thing!
That dress is adorable! Love the rickrack on it!

Such a fun dress...looks great on you...not 12!!
I am turning 35 soon and I am freaking out!
That's a novel and good way of beating the birthday blues. Next October I'll be dressing like a twelve year old for sure... : )
Aw, dressing your mental age is always more fun! But I like how your dress has a fun spirit but is still grown up and flattering!
I love the dress, you look great!! Those earrings are really cute too.

So cute!
That dress looks like it was tailored for you. It makes me conjure up scenes of your own personal tailor fitting you for evenings out and afternoon strolls. This COULD be both but I like the afternoon stroll outfit idea. You don't look old or too young. You look perfect.
