The Finale (aka Final 1/3)

Here's how I finished up the challenge...

For a second during my 30 for 30 I thought that I should do this every month...
Then I remembered the shopping aspect of the challenge and quickly rethought the idea.

I'm not a HUGE shopper typically, but the shopping "fast" was definitely the hardest part of this whole thing.
It was especially difficult during this time of the year.  There are sales everywhere and we're being marketed to in a major way ... you know the whole commercialization of the holidays thing.
Anyway, so, I went shopping today.

And I, duh duh duuuuuh, I went to the MALL.

Believe me, I wanted to go full on retail crazy.
But I couldn't do it.
Seems this challenge has changed the way I shop.

I considered every item I put my hands on carefully; like a re-mixer.
I gravitated toward accessories and basics instead of the statement pieces that usually catch my eye.
I drooled over trendy pieces but wasn't quick to pull the trigger.

In the end, I bought a pair of socks.

I have a whole freakin' closet to shop in at home!
AND Santa is coming... So, I made a wish list instead.

Any clothes on your wish list this year?

I hope that I have the same reaction to shopping and don't go crazy with it when I finish. I'm excited to see what you end up wearing now that you're done!

Very impressive! And how nice to have time to shop!! The oldest and I have b'day money, so we're going on a shopping date soon. : )

You're so good! Actually, just READING about your remixing has made me (a) appreciate what I have already more and (b) be more wary about what I buy. So, thank you dear Molly. You not only brighten my day with your cuteness and wardrobe creativity, you're also saving me $ for more Christmas gifts (my family says thank you, too).

I went shopping today too, and it was just as anti-climatic, haha, I bought a $1 belt from the salvation army. Look at us becoming all wise or something.

What great outfits you've put together! That's quite some discipline to not buy a thing at the mall. Good for you!! ~Serene
