To Dress for the "Cold"

When I put my items together for this 30X30 the weather was faaaaaaa-reezing.

Because I'm a smarty pants, I included a wool sweater, LINED wool pants, a flannel skirt & wool shorts.

Then all of a sudden freakin' Spring landed on Chattanooga.  We've had 60ish degree weather for the past two weeks.  I mean, "Yay!"  But, "Gah!"  Did I mention all the wool in my very limited wardrobe??
... I blame that stupid groundhog and his shadow.

Soooooooooooooo, when temps dipped down to a balmy frigid 47 degrees today, I figured it was time to pull out some wool and flannel to keep me toasty throughout the day.

Grey Chunky Sweater (Banana Republic); Plaid Skirt (I made it)
Grey Tights (Gap); Boots (Victoria's Secret)
Brown Twisty Belt (Thrifted)

Only a 70 minute drive from here. Do you have rain today. We do. And cool. I can't wait to see your spring stuff because that means spring here too.

Cute! We're a bit colder here today but the sun is shining so I can't complain!

You look so cozy. I love that plaid skirt. It is freezing here, ok not really, but freezing for a California Coastal town. There is a rumor that it might snow here at sea level today. So cold and not looking forward to it :(

This in between season dressing is a bit challenging. It's so cold here right now that I'm having to layer like crazy. I should have added more wool.

You look great today!!!

haha i guess that's the trouble with choosing outfits in advance at this time of year--the weather is all wonky!! i am so jealous that you're experiencing spring down there. here in vermont we're expecting yet another snowstorm this weekend. whoopee :(

i do love this outfit, though! glad you got a chance to wear it :)

I'm totally stealing this look for a bridal shower I'm hosting this weekend-- when it's supposed to be rainy and 30-something degrees in Southern California!

I think your readers across the country will be throwing things at your for complaining it is cold. Not me, I like the cold. I'm just telling you that you should watch your back...

Creepiness (?) aside, this is so school girl chic cute. I love the plaid and the belting. But I love how your rock those boots the most!

Oh Molly, you look lovely!

I can totally understand what you're saying! I picked fur-boots (it was very very cold) for the 30 for 30 and wore them only 2 times! 2! Oh, well... :)
