The main reason for our trip to Washington, D.C. was to attend a burial service at Arlington National Cemetery.
The hubby's Grandmother passed away earlier in the year, and this past weekend we attended a memorial service honoring her at Arlington.
She lived a long life and I'm so grateful to have had a brief chance to get to know her.
Arlington was such a beautiful place to remember her and celebrate her life.

Sorry for your loss.
hi molly! thanks so much for checking out my blog :) i'm sorry to hear about your loss, but it is always a relief when someone lives a long, happy life and leaves peacefully. i just visited DC for the first time last month (pretty surprising, considering that i've always lived on the east coast), and although it isn't my favorite city, there are definitely some beautiful places to visit!
Cute look! Did you layer your tights??
I'm happy you are enjoying your trip and were able to honor your husband's grandmother at Arlington.
I'm really glad you honored her with bright colors :) I always thought the "wear black to a funeral" idea made everything so much more depressing. We should always try to celebrate life!
It sounds like a beautiful service, and a great place to honor her.
PS Those tights are fantastic, I really like the black and pink together.
Cute, cute, cute! I'm sorry about the reason for your D.C. visit, but I am glad you had time in such a beautiful place.
aw, what a beautiful beautiful grandma.
