To Discover A Second Closet

Seeing as this is actually a man's shirt, it was begging me to put a tie on with it today.

Thankfully for me, I have a husband who wears lots of ties.  So, I ventured into uncharted territory.  I opened HIS closet.

You GUYS! That place is a virtual treasure chest. I cannot wait to raid it when this 30 for 30 is complete.  I found some serious booty in there.

When I told the hubby my intentions (to make what's his - mine).
I was surprised by his reaction.  He told me to stay out of there because it wasn't fair that I got to wear his clothes when he couldn't wear mine.  I let him know that he could wear as many of my clothes as he wants to.
His response was a ridiculous face. {translation: NO. WAY.}

Striped Button Down: Inherited; Pink Cardi: Old Navy
Grey Jeans: Target; Black Boots: Rocket Dog via Amazon
Tie: the hubby's;  Hat: Canal Street NYC
Earrings: Silpada; Silver Stick Pin: Vintage

I was secretly happy with his NO. WAY.
Now, it's not because I have a problem with cross dressing. I don't.
I was happy because I do not share well.

Well, let me clarify.  I don't share my stuff well.  I actually share other's stuff just great.
Do you raid your significant other's closet?

I only ever wear my husbands hoodies. I sleep in them.
example a few years ago... i don't usually take pictures of me in them. they don't quite fit. http://colleen.akwire.net/_clothes/images/March1,2006big.jpg

I raid my husband's closer quite frequently. He actually finds it quite amusing. Also, he has to agree I look better in most of his clothes than he does.

Ha! I've had this exact discussion with my hubs! Thankfully, after seeing me wear some of his things, he decided that it's cute when I wear them since they're inevitably too big for me. I love his ties and sweatshirts the most, but I've got my eye on a couple of his dress shirts now ...

You look so freakin' cute!!
I wish I could raid my husband's side of the closet. He is so much taller than me. All of his shirts fit like way too big dresses.

Again with the awesome ideas. Love you wore the pink cardigan with this. I've asked to borrow my boyfriends dress shirts before, but he said no because I'd probably spill something on them. He's probably right. My brother on the other hand, always lets me borrow his belts, shirts, and even his skinny jeans when I go visit.

My boyfriend was just saying he needed to come up with a "tie" outfit for me. I love taking stuff from his closet. Love the feminine touch of pink :)

Hahah, so funny that he said no! I do like his justification though... About the "fairness" and all... I'm sure you can convince him otherwise with promises of homemade dinners or freshly baked cookies...?!

Chica bonita! You are rocking this look!

I can't raid my hub's closet - there is too much of a size difference!

that hat looks great on you! and go you for trying such a bold look, i really need to work on branching out a bit. i do raid my man's closet, but only for lounge wear... when this challenge is over, i'm definitely giving his closet another look.

I wish! Maybe I need to start dating more short curvy men so I can fit into their dapper duds...actually, I have a super cute collection of ties with little preppy animal prints that I've thrifted over the years, and inevitably, they end up being stolen by my man friends.

I haven't but that's a good idea!!! i really hope he takes you up on your offer to use your clothes!

Super cute outfit! My husband would never be OK with me wearing his clothes I don't think.

And thanks for stopping by my blog :)

Of course I raid my husband's closet! When my jeans get too tight, I wear his until mine fit again. :( It's motivating, I tell you!
