To Over Edit

I shot these pictures in a total rush before leaving town last week.

I was running back and forth between my "spot" and the tripod in a panic.  I wanted to get the pictures finished before the cool graffiti covered train car pulled away.

I also had about 500 things on my "to do" list to get done before we got out of town.

I figured I could "fix" whatever I shot using Picasa once I got home.

Striped Top: Express; Khakis: Express
Scarf: Marshalls; Belt: Came on a pair pants
Yellow Loafers: Marshalls
Coral Earrings: Inherited from my MIL

Aren't you feeling privileged to be a witness to the early days of this blog?
At least someday you'll be able to (hopefully) see the progress I've made and skillz I've developed.
There is always a bright spot at the end of the tunnel, right?

... even a tunnel full of hastily shot, overly edited photos.
Thank you for your patience with my learning process!

{I do kind of like the outfit though... it was my stab at the whole belted scarf trend.}

Do you all use fancy schmancy editing tools for your outfit pics?

I love the scarf tucked into a belt look. I haven't been able to pull it off yet, but this is a great look!

That scarf is beautiful. I've tried that trend but it doesn't work with me. I think I'm too short.
I don't use much editing other than cropping. I'm not technically savvy in any way :)

Hello, cute outfit! I love this look on you.
And I don't do a ton of editing of my pics, I just crop a bit and maybe bump up the colour on some of them. Mostly because of time... I spend too much time on the computer already so don't want to spend more on editing pictures!

I'm kind of in love with the scarf being belted. I don't edit my pictures past cropping them, mainly because I can't be bothered to learn a fancy schmancy editing program.

I love the scarf belted idea! I have seen that on some other bloggers that I follow but have not tried it yet for myself. I hardly edit any of my photos before posting them up for the world to see (mostly because I take my pics before work and I am always running out the door). The only thing I do is change the photo style to a more retro or vivid color scheme depending on my mood.

I like the belted scarf look, just not on myself!

I don't really edit much. I crop the pics some, but that's about it. I haven't even figured out how to use the timer on my camera yet!!

Wah, don't tell me this is YELLOW shoes. Excuse me I need to go and cry some silent tears. I've been hunting for yellow shoes forever and haven't yet found a pair in my size and at a reasonable price. They are amazing!

The only editing I do is cropping the picture sometimes - I'm too lazy!

I love the scarf-tucked-into-belt look. I haven't tried it yet as I have a deficit of cool scarfs, but I definitely want to! :)

I love all the colors in that scarf! I use iPhoto to crop and sometimes do a little color adjusting, but that's about it usually, I'm not that computer savvy I'm afraid.
