Apparently when I gave my closet a "talking to" yesterday, my clothes paid attention.
There's no other explanation for this rule breaking outfit.

Well, except maybe that I have an interview for a steno pool.

Although, I'm not sure stockings like this were de rigueur.

I'm head over heels in love with this outfit. It makes me feel so pretty! And I do feel like I'm channeling the ladies of the Mad Men steno pool. And that is obviously fun. I love that it breaks the old pink and red rule. I love that there's a mix of patterns. But most of all I love that it's totally comfortable. PLUS, when my hubby came home from work he said enthusiastically, "You look PRETTY." That's a winner in my book.
Would you hire me?

This is SUCH a cute outfit! I never would have thought to put those tights with that skirt but it totally works. I am impressed. And you definitely look like you are channeling retro! Good job!

This is adorable! Never would have paired all that together. Saw on some blog yesterday where the author was talking about how her friend dresses like a scrapbook with all her different layers, textures, colors, etc. I thought that was so cute! I'd say this outfit is DEFINITELY one of those scrapbook outfits. That sounds sort of weird, but I mean it in as a high compliment. =D
I love the texture of the skirt. Very cute outfit. Especially like the scarf. Nice touch.
B was sitting on my lap while I looked at your blog. He says that he likes your hair and that you are so beautiful.
Out of the mouth of babes :)
You'd fit right in as an extra on Mad Men! Love it!
I LOVE this outfit and I also love how you did your hair. Very classy look-- I'd totally hire you.
I love the pattern combination. I would definitely hire you.

You look super cute and yes, I would hire you. Now, if only I can find a job!! ;-) Good luck with the interview! BTW, I always gauge my outfits on whether or not the hubby says something. If he does - instant winner, no matter what anyone else says or does not say.
Yes! It definitely is pretty!
Well, thte outfit is a winner1 How did the interview go?
That black and white picture has a beautiful vintage feel to it. It's a framer for sure!!!!!
So pretty - both elegant and quirky!
I would hire you in a heartbeat I think you look amazing.
I love all the patterns in this outfit, you look great! And isn't it funny how you can get tons of comments saying your look good, but when your man says it you know it's gotta be true.

After reviewing your resume and observing your ability to mix patterns so perfectly consider yourself hired. This should really be the standard on how to pattern mix!
